In 2021, I wrote and directed this short film aimed at creating a series of images that look beyond the surface of everyday actions, inviting audiences to see children who lacked the love and guidance of a parent from an early age through a new perspective.
Synopsis: When isolated foster child Teressa gets caught stealing from Carmen’s restaurant, she must make amends by helping around the place. Under Carmen’s watchful gaze, Teressa’s longing for a parent is eventually revealed and things at home become more turbulent.
